How about Lawyers reducing their fees?
We are all paying so much to lawyers and that fees is much higher than what USCIS charges.
Why can't lawyers run a campaign or post on their blogs to reduce their fees.

I am planning to stay back for 1 more month ,i.e till end of July and try for a project. As it is near to impossible to get a H1 Transfer without a project, I would like to hold on for H1 Transfer for now. If l can manage to get a project ..say in 3rd or 4th week of July, can I be able to get a H1 Transfer approved without any issues or RFEs. My last paycheck was issued for the week ending June 28th, 2009. So I can provide a Paystub of only a prior month, if I apply for possible H1 Transfer. Will this be good enough .
Please advise whether staying for 1 more month after H1 Termination should be fine or not, from the perspective of Job Searching and H1 Transfer.

on aug 9, nikon anounced the "D80" http://www.dpreview.com/articles/nikond80/
im thinking about making the jump from my pentax ist ds to nikon... i just started photography and think i sould swich to nikon while i still can. i have a few sd cards and think it would be ether the d50 or d80, would it be wourth spending the extra $200 or $400 on the d80. i like the 10mp, the Multiple-exposures capabilities, 100iso ect.
any thoughts

My I-140 was approved 2 yrs back. I have more time on H1 like ..2 more yrs.
I'm planning to use my EAD or do H1 transfer. So far I have good relations with my employer.If I speak to my employer about my plans will he be able to hurt my case like thru I140 or any otherway?
After I switch jobs will I be able to go back to my old employer if I would want to .

Hey,
180 days to invoke AC-21 is counted from the day 485 is recieved.Correct ? It is not 180 days from the EAD reciept.Correct me ?

Thanks for your responses. The hospital staff told us it would take 60-90 days to get the SSN. I am stuck until that arrives because only then can I apply for the passport. Any way to get around it?

Not sure I'd crop solitary much ... the more empty space there is around him, the more it reinforces the illusion that he is in fact alone.

But I guess I'm still hung up on the "suggestion" (not rule, I suppose) to have more space in the direction the subject is heading or looking than to the rear of him/her/it - especially also not to center the subject. So, I'd still crop it the same, but I should have indicated better what I was thinking (not a tight crop, which is probably what it sounded like I meant).

You mentioned that if one has a J1, the 2 Yr. HRR applies. I am not sure if it is true for all "categories" of J1 visas.
A friend of mine has come on a J1 visa for six months (research scholar), and on her DS2019, the visa officer has noted that the 2Yr. HRR is not applicable. Also, her visa does not say that she is subject to INA 212(e).
Could you please throw some light on the following:
- Inspite of the visa officer's determination, is she still "a marked man"?
- If you are subject to the 2 Yr. HRR, is mentioned on your visa?
By the way, her research:
- Is not funded by any govt. agency
- Has nothing to do with medicine

similarly there is no question of filing a 485, even if you could file it there cannot be an approval till the waiver is done, likely will be rejected.

You can start Greencard application in EB2 after receiving the MS degree in December 2006. H-1B and GC are two separate entities.

The minimum req for the job specified in LCA is BS+5 yrs+2 months.Salary is 80k/yr.Does this qualify me for EB2 also the ETA form has my qualification as my BE+MS .Also it specifies my past experience before joining the company. In my previous experience i was promoted and worked in a fortune 500 company .Will this qualify me for EB2. Also i heard that the category is determined in 140 stage.any help .thanks in advance.The occupation code also specifies that 65% or more in this job have bachelors and masters .Also it was mentioned it requires years of work experience for this job.Will this qualify for EB2. I am eager to know as i am from rest of the world and i can file 140/485/ead/ap together now.Any inputs.

Its gonna be a lot easier to get her attention than Mr. President himself.
We can all be sure that Mrs. Obama is one person who has command over his ears and anything coming from her would certainly hold his attention. Sure it is not the most honorable way to get shit done, but we'll take whatever we can get.
Let us request a formal appointment, keep it processional and classy, and raise funds so that few IVians from around washington DC can go see her in style.

I would also suggest to take an infopass and request for MTR - Motion to Reopen the case...to evaluate the decision. Go ahead and apply for 485 and do MTR, simultaneously.

CALLED USCIS .they said they cant transfer to level 2 operator to check receipt number...Is there any other way to find out?...will the bank be able to read and tell?
