I efiled on April 7th and got FP notice on April 15th or so with appointment date of April 30th. Hope this helps.

Is it still pending?
On what date did you first enter the US in H-1 status or first obtain a change of status to H-1?
Since you first entered the US in H-1 status or since you first changed status to H-1 have you spent any time out of the US?
If so, how many days?
When in 2008 did your new employer file its H-1 petition for you?

I agree that you should just send the G-325, if that is all they ask for. Just follow the instructions on the RFE regarding how to respond.

I have couple of questions.
1. Did the house already pass its version of CIR bill?
I believe there will be a conference committee consisting of few house and senate members and they will come up with a bill version acceptable to both house and senate. then the bill will be voted.
So what is the time frame we are looking at to get the final bill out.. Any idea?
Even thought I am a frequent visitor of IV.org, and stuck in backlog for years.. I do not know exactly how it works.. I will really appreciate any educated guesses.

Many people wait until they at least receive the receipt notice but nothing stops you from starting with the new employer as soon as the petition is submitted (you may need to provide proof of this submission) as per AC21.
(I am not an attorney so please contact your lawyer for confirmation)
Company B applied H1B tranfer petition for me two weeks back. Our documents went to USCIS, and we didnt received receipt notice yet. To my surprise the filing fee check is also not yet encashed.
Can anyone of you please let me know, if I can start working with company B now or wait until we get the receipt notice. What is the USCIS guidelines with the start date during H1B transfer.

Do I need to send the copy of visa stamp even if my stamp has expired and I am working on EAD? (my I-797/I-94 expired too).
Can someone please answer this as I need to apply for ead renewal soon.

I agree that an error in name order on an EAD is not likely to cause any major problems. However, You can apply for a replacement card by filing another I-765. If the error on the EAD is due to a USCIS mistake, no fee is required. However, if you caused the error by providing incorrect information, then you will have to pay the full $340 filing fee again.

IV seems to have a lot of folks here on a h1b with a non profit organization. My wife is currently doing her residency in a non profit organization on a h1b so basically she is not subject to the cap.
After she finishes, and she looks for jobs, is it possible to get a h1b transfer in a profit organization without being subject to cap? Or H1b transfer is possible only with an non profit organization.
Any inputs will be well appreciated.

I applied for H1B as a Software Test Engineer and my LCA is applied with the same job description. Now i wish to work as Programmer Analyst in the same location specified in the LCA. will i need to amend my LCA or H1B or is it fine to continue with the same LCA. Are there any chances of my LCA getting denied and how long will it take to get the new LCA. Thanking you in advance.
You will need to have the petitioner file an amended petition only if there has been a material change in the terms and conditions of your employment.
Compare the job duties (not just job titles) of the original and new job to determine if they are in the same Standard Occupational Classification (SOC). See, Find Occupations (http://online.onetcenter.org/find/). If the jobs are in the same SOC, they would both have the same prevailing wage and no material change has occurred. In that case, you may only need to get a new LCA. All LCAs take up to 7 business days to get certified by the DOL. In your case, Software Engineer and Programmer Analyst are probably materially different so an amended petition is most likely the best course of action.
